2. Enter Your Engraving Text Using The Personalization Button on the Product Page

Enter the text — typically the recipient's name, the award title, the presenting organization, and the date or season — in the engraving fields on the product page or at checkout. You do not need to worry about font selection or layout for standard trophy orders; our engravers handle the formatting to make sure it looks its best on the plate size you ordered. 3. We Review and Engrave

Every order is reviewed by a real person on our team before engraving begins. We check for obvious typos, lines that are too long for the plate size, layout issues that would affect readability, and anything that looks like it might not have been what the customer intended. If we spot a potential problem, we reach out before production — not after. Once the review is complete, your award moves into our engraving queue and is produced in-house at our Michigan facility.

What to Include in Your Engraving

Most trophy and plaque engravings follow a simple structure. You do not need all of these elements — use what is appropriate for the occasion:

• Recipient name — first and last name for formal awards; first name only works well for youth sports and informal recognition
• Award title — Most Valuable Player, Employee of the Year, Coach of the Season, Perfect Attendance, Most Improved
• Presented by — the organization, team name, school, department, or individual presenting the award
• Date or season — the year, season name, event date, or league session (Spring 2025, 2024–2025 Season, etc.)
• Optional message — a short phrase or dedication works well on plaques where space allows; trophies with standard name plates typically do not have room for an additional line

For character limits: a standard trophy name plate typically holds 3 lines of text at a maximum of 28 characters per line, including spaces and punctuation. Some larger trophy bases accept wider plates with more capacity; product pages note when this applies. Plaques allow considerably more text — a standard 9x12 walnut plaque can accommodate a full paragraph of copy if needed.
